Michele Deuterman

Michele Deuterman is Elwyn's Chief Human Resources Officer. With over 25 years of human resources leadership experience, Michele has worked with organizations including ITG Brands, General Dynamics, and Ecolab. Her early experience includes work as a Direct Service Provider in group homes and summer programs for individuals with developmental challenges. Her expertise spans large-scale cultural transformations, talent management, diversity and inclusion initiatives, labor relations, HR systems, and employee engagement. Known for her strategic and collaborative approach, Michele has a proven track record of leading change and creating positive workplace cultures.

Michele holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Appalachian State University and is an International Coaching Federation (ICF) certified coach. Currently, she is a coach for the executive MBA program at Duke University. Her dedication to mentoring and developing future leaders has shaped many careers, and her commitment to fostering inclusive environments remains a core focus of her work. She serves as board chair for GenerationEd, an organization that provides early learning services in Greensboro, North Carolina.
