Laurie Tompkins is Elwyn’s Vice President of Quality Improvement, leading efforts to ensure excellence in service delivery, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement across the organization. She oversees the quality improvement team, which works directly with each service line to ensure quality services are provided and regulatory requirements are met. Prior to joining Elwyn, Laurie served as the Director of Risk Management at a human services provider agency, where she supervised a team that responded to incidents, completed investigations, made process improvement recommendations, oversaw residential and day program licensing, conducted root cause analysis, and developed employee safety initiatives.
Laurie gained invaluable knowledge and experience in quality improvement and risk management when she served as an attorney representing New Jersey and Philadelphia government agencies. She advocated for services for vulnerable populations, including abused children, individuals with brain injuries and developmental disabilities, and mentally ill patients in the state psychiatric hospital system. Laurie holds a bachelor’s degree from Middlebury College and Juris Doctor from UCLA School of Law.
